WHAT TO SEE IN SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO?<\/h3>\n

San Giovanni Rotondo is a Municipality of the Province of Foggia in Puglia.<\/p>\n

Your stop is just a few steps from the Conventual Complex of Santa Maria delle Grazie<\/strong> and the Church of San Pio da Pietrelcina<\/strong>. Continue the tour with the exploration of the ancient village and visit the Church of San Giovanni Battista della Rotonda<\/strong> and the Church of Sant’Onofrio<\/strong>. Now head on to the Church of Sant\u2019Orsola<\/strong> and to Padre Pio Wax Museum<\/strong>. Finally, climb to the top of the Square Tower<\/strong> to admire the city from above.<\/p>\n

Not far from the city you will also find the Paleontological Museum of Dinosaurs<\/strong> and the Bosco Quarto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Start your meal with\u00a0octopus<\/strong> and olive salad<\/strong> or scallops<\/strong> and cuttlefish skewers<\/strong>, or taste typical cheeses such as caciocavallo podolico<\/strong> and canestrato<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As a first course, choose among spaghetti with clams<\/strong>, strozzapreti terra e mare<\/strong> and troccoli allo scoglio<\/strong>.\u00a0Alternatively, have the typical orecchiette<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Among the second courses, there is plenty of choice based on fish, such as the\u00a0Pugliese-style sea bream<\/strong>, fried anchovies<\/strong>, mullet alla pizzaiola<\/strong>, murexes with lemon<\/strong> and mussels<\/strong>. If you don’t like fish, you may find barbecued meat<\/strong> and offal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO BUS STOP<\/h3>\n

The terminal bus is located in Piazza Forgione.
\nIt is at about 50 metres from the Sanctuary of S. Giovanni Rotondo (which is located at the exit of the terminal bus, on Viale Cappuccini on the left) and it is just below the hospital of San Giovanni Rotondo. The terminal is small in size, and it consists of only three bays, of which only two are covered by a canopy. The area is illuminated and equipped with benches.<\/p>\n
